This page shows the reviews of the facilities offered by clubs in the Huddersfield League. All reviews are carried out by a mystery player and various criteria are checked and is meant to be a bit of fun so please don't take it too seriously.

Date 22nd June
Ground - Skelmanthorpe CC

Changing area - 4/5 - clean, tidy, spacious, plenty of hooks etc.
Viewing Area - 3*/5 - decent seating around the ground
Showers - 3/5 - only 2 but powerful and hot
Tea - 4/5 - hot beef sandwich and chips, crumble and custard, ok but nowt  
special
Bar Snacks - 4/5 - Pork pies plus usual suspects
Bar Drinks -2*/5 - similar offering to Cawthorne from a small bar

Date 15th June
Ground - Cawthorne CC

Changing Area - 2*/5 - big enough, floor filthy and barbeque in corner
Viewing Area - 5/5 - Loads of seating all with beautiful vistas
Showers - 1/5 - Only 1 in a tiny cubicle
Tea - 4/5 - Decent spread, hot & cold, portion size a touch small
Bar Snacks - 3/5 - Plethora of crisps and sweets but no savoury
Bar Drinks - 2*/5 - Decent variety from a tiny bar


Date - 27th May
Ground - Kirkburton CC

Changing area - 3/5 - clean, enough hooks, tad small
Viewing area - 2/5 - ample seating, bit cold and open
Showers - 3/5 - seemed ok, no issues
Tea - 1/5 - pie & peas (just warm), nowt else not even a bun
Bar Snacks - 1/5 - just Mars bars n crisps
Bar Drinks - 2/5 - no cask but varied offering at decent prices.


Date - 18th May
Ground - Holmfirth CC

Changing area - 3/5 - bit cramped and no window but clean and plenty of hooks
Viewing area - 3/5 - better if beer festival on
Showers - 3*5 - hot, good pressure but only 2
Tea - 4/5 - good portions, hot and cold but £4 a bit steep
Bar Snacks - 1/5 - minimal
Bar drinks - 1/5 - no cask and poor lager, even run out of Red Stripe


Date - 4th May
Ground - Shepley CC

Changing Rooms - 5/5 - large & clean
Viewing Area - 1*/5 - 2 benches and freezing
Showers 5/5 - Hot, powerful & 4 of them
Tea - 5/5 - Top buffet, hot/cold, wraps, butties, pasties & balsamic glaze
Bar Snacks - 2/5 - just crisps & sweets
Bar Drinks 1*/5 - no cask and club busy with the HD8 village idiot meeting


Date - 27th April 2013
Ground - Broad Oak CC

Changing Rooms - 2/5 - cramped, fairly clean, holes in wall
Viewing Area - 4/5 - good balcony, however you wouldn't want all Elland 2nds on there
Showers - 2*/5 - decent showers but lack of them
Tea 3/5 - T cake, salad & pizza, touch pricey
Bar Snacks -2*/5 - crisps n chocolate until kebabs after game
Bar Drinks 4/5 - another ground with local cask on, good to see


Date  - 20th April 2013
Ground - Slaithwaite C&BC

Changing Rooms - 4*/5 - clean, spacious, plenty of hooks
Viewing Area - 3/5 - nice elevation, viewing made difficult by barrier height
Showers - 2/5 - aesthetically pleasing but pressure of a dripping tap
Tea - 3*/5 - decent spread of butties, wedges, crisps & cakes
Bar Snacks - 3*/5
Bar drinks - 4*/5 offering 3 decent cask ales as well as the other usual fayre

Date -20th April 2013
Ground - Meltham Sports & Community centre

Changing rooms - 4/5 - spacious and good hanging facilities
Viewing area - 2/5 - low level and sightscreen in the way
Showers - 4*/5 - numerous, warm & powerful
Tea - 3/5 - pie & peas due to football at home
Bar snacks - 2/5 - only crisps & chocolate
Bar Drinks - 1/5 - poor offering of boring mainstream products
